Pure enzyme, a papaya-based mask, removes the top layers of the skin. Salicylic or beta hydroxyl acid is then applied, penetrating into the skin at a cellular level. Cryogenic therapy cools the skin and reduces inflammations. Weekly treatments of cryogenic therapy alternating with the MicroPeel Plus provide visible results for acne-damaged skin. For maximum results, a series of six treatments over 12 weeks is recommended.

What Is Salicylic Acid?

Salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid, is found naturally in willow bark, wintergreen leaves, and sweet birch bark. Carefully formulated preparations, containing high concentrations of salicylic acid, assist in sloughing off dead cells and debris on the surface of the skin. Salicylic acid then stimulates the skin’s natural processes to promote cell turnover and growth.

Will I Experience Any Downtime?

There is usually no downtime associated with the BioMedic MicroPeel Plus. However, some mild itching and irritation may occur. For approximately one week your skin will undergo the MicroPeel Plus renewal process. Your skin will lose its dead outer layer. Depending on your skin you may or may not notice the peeling. When peeling is visible, it will occur two to four days following the treatment.
